Edmonds In Bloom works to promote the floral beautification of the community. Edmonds in Bloom unites the residents, organizations and businesses of Edmonds, WA by celebrating flowers in Edmonds and showcasing gardens and floral displays, supporting horticultural education and creating a vibrant and colorful place to live, work and visit.In addition to recognizing local residents and businesses in and around Edmonds for their outstanding front home gardens and business displays, our Board chooses new and exciting projects each year to fulfill our mission. Examples of projects include adopting street corner gardens downtown, sponsoring the artist-embellished flower basket poles and hanging flower baskets through the City of Edmonds, providing funding for materials, plants and lighting for landscaping and irrigation improvements at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, benches, fences, and containers for City Parks, landscaping improvements for the Edmonds Library, support for the Edmonds Historical Society and Museum, Edmonds Elementary Schools, Edmonds Community College, and upgrades for the Kruckeberg Botanical Garden. Our volunteers provide thousands of hours of hands-on support to produce our own events like "Kids Plant for Mom’s Day", the Garden Recognition program, the Edmonds in Bloom Garden Tour and Garden Party. We partner with the City of Edmonds to transplant thousands of seedlings for city baskets and street corner gardens and planting areas at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. Funds raised through ticket sales from the Garden Tour, raffles, and private donations are used to provide scholarships for Edmonds high school and community college students pursuing college degrees related to horticulture. We are an all-volunteer 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and appreciate your donations and sponsorships.
