Responsive Administrator

This was a newly designed role that was quite unique. A team of 3 administrators were chosen to be a part of an admin team that moved around the borough (local council area), to admin roles that desperately needed attention. These people were chosen for their system skills (I was a systems expert of their database), flexibility and adaptability, willingness to travel to various locations, time management skills, maturity, diplomacy, people skills, rapport building skills and can-do attitude. We required the capability to be dropped into a team with no prior knowledge of its operation, discover and deliver upon the KPI's of the specific role and add value to that department. We essentially were an internal team that was outsourced to different departments to fulfil a need.We were highly sought after and were booked out for a year in advance.I was placed into the social services departments (Occupational Therapy, Mental Health, Physical Disability and Looked After Children's Division) to complete various duties. In these roles I manned the reception for mental health, updated care plans for OT patients and spent alot of time in LAC - assisting case workers with their files (typing, organising, filing, reminding of appointments), minute taking in meetings, answering calls and dealing with the clients. This was a very rewarding role.In this role I as naturally able and willing to build rapport and liaise with the various members of the community as listed above.

Oct 2003 - Sep 2004

Team Leader

I had been working in the Sports Club for 2 years in bars and gaming and was quickly promoted into a leadership role. The leadership role required me to lead a group of up to 70 staff on a shift with another leader. We ensured the gaming areas were manned with staff and technicians, handled patrons queries and ensured a million dollar float was distributed and balanced at the end of the shift. The responsibility in this role was immense and integrity was a value that was undoubtedly one of the things considered when being placed in that highly important role.Bar work was another integral part of this role. The bars were well stocked with staff, clean glasses and alcohol to sell. One of my particular strategies was to increase cocktail sales in the bars by promoting them, and I also ran the cocktail piano bar there for 2 years alone, before stepping into leadership.A leader in this establishment needed to ensure that staff breaks were taken at the right times to ensure our service levels were met and customers not impacted.Additional responsibilities were assisting with reception work at the front entrance of the club, handling Keno and TAB and generally overseeing all bars and gaming areas of the club. We built rapport with our security team to ensure the safety of our staff, customers and the building itself.le.
