Mariette Dölle leads Oude Kerk Amsterdam, a well respected Contemporary Art hub within the striking framework of 700-year-old gothic church architecture. She adamantly commissions work by artists who connect past histories with contemporary urgencies. Recent site-specific works by ao Ibrahim Mahama, Jeanne van Heeswijk, Meredith Monk. Prior to this, she lovingly led Museum Kranenburgh in Bergen, a museum exploring modern and contemporary art, situated near the Dutch seaside in a forest garden. She is committed to creating a vivid dialogue between art and audiences, generating open and discursive connections between otherwise disparate fields and communities. Until 2016 she directed TENT, a well respected Dutch gallery for contemporary art that deals with the politics of place in Rotterdam. She has organized projects with a roster of acclaimed (Dutch) artists, architects, curators, and writers.A selection of board memberships, advisory roles and juries, past and present:Board Member Brutus Rotterdam | www.brutus.nlBoard Member Sonic Acts Festival | sonicacts.comEditorial Committee art magazine Museumtijdschrift www.museumtijdschrift.nlAdvisor 4-year grants ‘25-‘28, Art Council GroningenBoard member Samenwerkende Musea AmsterdamBoard member ArtTable Netherlands (chair)Committee member 4-year grants for cultural institutions, City of The HagueCommittee 3-year grants for artspaces, Mondriaan FundJury Gerrit Benner Oeuvreprijs 2019 (chair)Jury Brutus Prijs 2019 (chair)Jury Gerrit Benner Aanmoedigingsprijs 2018 (chair)Jury NN Group Award 2018Jury Prix de Rome 2017Board Member Theaterkerk WadwayBoard Member Nieuwe Vide HaarlemAdvisor Royal Academy The HagueGraduation Advisor Rietveld Academy
