App Component Redesign - Along with another developer, I designed and implemented tens of customisable components. I used feature flags to introduce these changes to beta customers. This new flow was a big leap in our scalability as it reduced the need for manual intervention.Incident Response - When on call, I responded to alerts and investigated internal and external bug reports across the pipeline. Upon finding the issue I would implement a solution, often rewriting a part of the app or backend to include unit tests and integration tests. This increased our test coverage and kept the codebase more manageable.Technical Knowledge Sharing - I led knowledge-sharing sessions between engineers to reduce silos and lead to better quality code reviews.

Low Friction Onboarding - My team and I designed and executed a property onboarding flow for new customers. This resulted in a dramatic increase in completed properties that could then be published. For existing users who would not see this flow, I made a new landing page with a property completeness indicator to assist them in completing their property. Content Optimisation - I proposed and developed an algorithm to generate descriptions for properties where owners had not written one - this both lowered the friction of property onboarding and also increased ranking and desirability of the listings on booking sites.Property Status Dashboard - I implemented a property listing status dashboard which distilled a complex processing pipeline into an understandable representation for the customer. It also offered internal power users a detailed status that aided them in troubleshooting and debugging, which was previously unknowable.Empowering Through Data - I led sessions where engineers consulted with non-technical staff on their everyday challenges that could be accelerated through data.
