I am a passionate educator with over 20 years of experience in both State and independent schools within Western Australia. I have taught in Early Childhood, Middle School and Senior Secondary settings. I have extensive experience in writing curriculum, establishing school-wide social and emotional programs, establishing new school regions within my current context and growing client base together with staff capacity; an inaugural staff member at the first school I taught at, and have held positions of senior leadership for the last 6 years. I am dedicated to assisting and championing the recovery of students within a Trauma Informed pedagogy, who, for one reason or another have not succeeded in a mainstream schooling setting. It is my passion to see students begin to walk in wholeness and pursue their talents, and interests and fully embrace who they are. I have completed the Berry Street training model and inform trauma practices within the school setting I currently am working. The Alta-1 model of schooling is dedicated to trauma-informed practice at all levels. I value mentoring and coaching staff to fulfil their own goals and potential. it is a passion of mine. I am currently studying for my Masters in Educational Leadership. Together with my extensive experience and training in leadership skills and coaching, I have recently completed a unit at a Masters level in Mentoring and am currently studying a unit in Creative Teaching and Assessment. I am also a dedicated artist who paints in both watercolours and oils. This is an area I would like to continue to develop and hone my skills.
