Principal Consultant
CurrentCurrent role is managing Systems Integration Testing and creating end to end scenarios for an old system with no test scripts interacting with Oracle PPM, ERP, and EPM. Over 100 integrations require end to end testing through 6 internal systems and lots of external systems. Previous role was test manager for Systems Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and Performance Testing for implementation of Oracle Retail and Finance systems. The role involves coordinating multiple teams to successfully test large complex changes in a retail environment. What I bring to the project is being the unblocker, the negotiator, the ideas person looking to keep things moving. Key skills for this role has been coordinating, planning, monitoring, coaching and guiding, and all that good stuff that keeps things rolling along in the right direction.
Senior Business Analyst
I started this role as a senior business analyst, and also filled the roles of project manager, scrum master, and product owner. With the help of my great team, we took our part of the ERPFI project from floundering to being at the forefront of all the partners involved.
Lead: Technical Quality
I plan and implement change to our main authoring system, publishing systems, copyright compliance, link maintenance, and documents. I lead multiple teams and work effectively across multiple business areas. Also, I lead or am part of a multitude of projects in different capacities across the business. My focus is to simplify, make usuable, make effiecient, and bring people on the journey with me.
Specialty Lead: Link Maintenance
Our main product HealthPathways, has over 250,000 links to internal and external content. I have created a number of systems to manage these links, to reduce the amount of overheads associated with this volume of content. The first system were focused on maintenance and organisation, the second on quality and reduction of duplication, the third on customer reports and providing timely and effective service internally and externally. I lead a small team that focuses on customers to provide them with accurate, and informative data to enable customers to make effective decisions.
Specialty Lead - Copyright
This was a new position created to handle all third party content used by our organisation, and our content used by others. I created processes and procedures from scratch, which recorded and managed all material used internally and externally. I provided training and education to all staff on copyright usage. I manage a small, diligent team that handles all incoming queries internally and externally on copyright matters.
Content Developer/Techical Writer
This position is centred around plain English writing for HealthPathways, a web based system that allows medical staff to see localised referral and medical information. In one year I have managed to get to the top of my grade, pushing myself to get an indepth knowledge of the product, how it works, and the systems that integrate with this. Recently I have assisted the launch of two new sites by creating good communication lines with the customers, standardising the content to fit with each site, meeting targets, saving time and money by focusing on rapid localisation that adheres to the product's style guide, and working with the customers to create a good work flow. I have also volunteered to assist the business in two othe areas: the Writing Technical Team (WTT) and Copyright Officer (CC). The WTT focus is to help other technical writers with simple to medium size computer issues, software issues, problem solving, ad hoc testing, and assist in improvements to the whole system. My skills in testing have been used, and I have set up a regression test suite for AuthorIT, completed testing for a double upgrade and set up a testing environment (using emulators) for a mobile application. The CC is a newly created position where all copyright queries go to get sorted. As this is a new area of the business, I have developed new processes, set up a basic information storage area, and trialling different ways to manage this large area. I am looking forward to put together a more robust and easy to use system for my colleagues and customers.
