I developed and expanded the THRIVE Accelerator program, partnerships and curriculum that resulted in THRIVE being recognized as the "Most valuable agrifood accelerator for startups" at the Agfunder Awards at World Agritech San Francisco, 2019. I developed and drove the THRIVE Corporate Innovation program for agriculture, food and technology companies that supports strategic roadmaps by focusing on innovation needs and opportunities. The program purposefully drives corporate engagement by selecting and critically evaluating emerging and growth stage startups.As Director, I was responsible for the management of C-Level corporate relationships and supporting entrepreneurs as they build companies that deliver long term value.

Provided specialist expertise and business development for a new energy from waste (EfW) facility in BC and newly acquired transfer stations in Philadelphia, PA. Examined market conditions, prepared regulatory and funding submissions and liaised with municipal and private waste managers.

Key coordinator for developing a new Solid Waste Management Plan for the Metro Vancouver Region and the project was brought to a public draft within an unprecedented 6 month timeframe. The project involved developing a high level strategy for the new direction in waste management for the region, synthesizing inputs from a wide variety of stakeholders and liaising with multi-disciplinary teams. The Plan incorporated the latest findings from carbon emissions research.

I successfully managed a team of 10 environmental professionals comprising two separate business lines: solid waste management and site investigation and remediation. I completed a wide variety of solid waste management and other municipal and environmental projects with an increasing level of project ownership and project management. Projects regularly involved contract management and procurement of services. Projects were generally won in open competition against other consulting groups by the preparation of a proposal containing a workplan and fee structure.
