So, in relation to quality processes and managing compliance obligations, there is no ‘one size fits all’ or magic off-the-shelf product to just tick boxes. The ‘WHAT’ may be the same but the ‘HOW’ is unique.I work with clients to develop their capability to align their systems to their unique business needs by providing training or bespoke professional development, mentoring, coaching, conducting audits and health checks and working WITH clients to find solutions that work for them.As a business owner who also consults to a broad range of clients, coupled with more than 10 years working in compliance roles, I am aware of the challenges that organisations face in ensuring cost-efficient alignment of compliance obligations and quality products, services, and customer experiences.I realised there were some key issues:Compliance and quality systems cost money but non compliance costs moreWe only call an expert when we’re in trouble - like waiting until you are really sick to see a doctorWe expect an expert will fix our problem – like the doctor prescribing a pill to feel better instantly, and Quality and compliance are the same – often someone’s job titleMy solutions are predicated on the well-known saying: to give a person fish is to feed them for a day but to teach a person to fish is to feed them for a lifetime.
