Mohsen Marefat is an experienced Electrical Engineer, Product Manager, Business Development Strategist, and Educator. He developed and led practical applications in Power Electronics and Machinery, Biotechnology computation, and innovative methods for startup formation in the tech sector.Mohsen began his career as a researcher at NASA, designing the first interactive CAD program for Aerospace applications. As an engineer at IBM, he led multidisciplinary teams in the research, design, manufacturing, and marketing of high-volume products utilizing precision motion control. His team deployed the first integrated motor driver application, the L6203, which is now the de facto standard in Automotive applications.As a leader in evangelical sales, Mohsen spearheaded the market introductions of groundbreaking technologies. These included a revolutionary AI decision engine with marketing and sales automation applications, and a clinical cancer screening method based on proteomic patterns and AI processing. In operational corporate restructuring programs, he successfully combined dispersed acquisitions into a thriving technology division for an Irish corporate holding group.He engages the next generation of engineers in preparing them for their fantastic futures with occasional graduate research and teaching at The Catholic University of America. Currently, Mohsen is passionately involved in developing a new enterprise. This venture is focused on commercializing the next generation of high-density power electronics with built-in fault detection and protection, a project that reflects his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to innovation. He is an active member of the Mars Society and speaks on planetary exploration's social and technical implications.Living and working in Europe, Asia, and the USA, I enjoy multicultural environments.
