As an Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, I lead a multidisciplinary team of researchers and students who are passionate about exploring the molecular and evolutionary mechanisms of plant adaptation and resilience. With over 10 years of experience in biotechnology and bioinformatics, I have developed and applied cutting-edge techniques in metabolomics, sequencing, and machine learning to uncover the function and evolution of genes, stress response pathways, and specialized metabolic biosynthesis in algae and land plants.My research has resulted in multiple publications in prestigious journals, as well as collaborations with leading institutions such as the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology, where I worked as a guest researcher and a group leader. My long-term goal is to contribute to the advancement of plant science and biotechnology, and to inspire the next generation of scientists and innovators. I hold a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Copenhagen and a PhD degree from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology/University of Potsdam.
