Calibration Engineer
Current· Presently working as lead calibrator on a supercharged V6 gasoline sports car application.- Research program to evaluate charge boosting alternatives for downsizing· Dyno and vehicle calibration Turbo supercharged 500Hp 1.6l I4 Gdi Pfi with hybrid drive for a 6 vehicle demonstrator fleet. · Downsizing exercise of a turbocharged 4 Cylinder gasoline into an MPV. EOBD calibration of catalyst efficiency and Lambda control. Knock control calibration.· 2.0l I4 Emissions to EURO5 in lightweight vehicle for limited production. · Control strategy development and calibration of a sequentially turbocharged DI 6 cylinder. Full hot climate and altitude testing. · Calibration of the base engine with VGT.· Simulink coding and calibration of stop start controller strategy for a 4 cylinder gasoline demonstrator. Also responsible for sensor selection. Vehicle operated with second controller communicating through CAN. · OBD strategy development and calibration for a 6.5L IDI Turbo Diesel to meet CARB 2004 regulations. Climate testing and subsequent calibration and subsequent support with the client.· Resident engineer in Malaysia leading and training a calibration team for a range of 4 engines, manual and automatic transmission amounting to 7 variants. At the end of my stay the vehicle range was released for production. I was also responsible for project planning. Subsequently responsible for the dynamometer calibration of a new engine, during development at Lotus, for the same client including extensive knock control calibration.· 6 month placement at client site for knock control development.· Assisted in calibration of a CDA research program· OBD development for 1.6 at Euro II for 1.8l I4· Full dyno, emissions, and climate cal for a 1.6 l Pfi I4In total I have had large contributions in the calibration of over 10 engines in MT, AT CVT and hybrid variants and input to a smaller degree in several others.
