In 2002 he co-founded Independent Digital that has evolved to be the biggest independent digital music distributor in Poland and one of the largest in Central Europe. Currently, Independent Digital collaborates with key streaming services, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Deezer, Pandora, Facebook, TikTok and 50 others.One of the natural directions in the company’s development is international expansion, which, according to Marek, is to ensure a steady growth and the ability to transfer know-how and other practices from more developed markets into Poland. Marek uses the knowledge and experience he gains during his regular participations in international conferences and music industry events to set new courses and find new development opportunities for Independent Digital’s customers and the music industry in Poland as a whole.Marek actively promotes the development of music industry in Poland, not only by means of knowledge transfer, but also as a co-Founder of Alians Niezależnych Producentów Muzycznych (Independent Music Producers Alliance) – an organization uniting independent artists and publishers whose main goal is to improve the position of independent entities in the music industry within Europe.Marek graduated from Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw in 1996. As a lecturer in Music in Media course at Collegium Civitas he trains the next generation of music industry specialists.In his leisure time, he is a passionate tennis player and an avid traveller. He also enjoys listening to music across diverse genres.
