Providing tutoring and course-assistant support for students as well as leading groups of tutors at the Math Learning Center through professional development.

Worked together with my research group to implement a method known as Scalar Auxiliary Variable (SAV) to numerically solve using Python the coupled system of partial differential equations known as Cahn-Hilliard-Navier-Stokes (CHNS). Wrote a time and space discretization scheme on a square domain for a variety of different boundary conditions. Performed tests to compare coupled and decoupled versions of the scheme, as well as compared against results using other methods such as Convex Splitting and Invariant Energy Quadratization (IEQ) in the literature.

Wrote MATLAB code to obtain the optimal configuration of a sensor vest to be worn by a patient forcollection of fetal magnetoencephalography (fMEG) data. Performed numerical simulations of magnetic field data and constructed a system to efficiently generate and keep track of different sensor configurations, comparing them using singular value decomposition (SVD) methods on the resulting matrices. Learned how to maintain the lab’s superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID), which is another sensor array for MEG, in particular changing out the liquid nitrogen.

Provided both one-on-one and group tutoring to student-athletes in a wide range of STEM classes.

Provided quality software assistance and troubleshooting for students and faculty across campus both on the phone and in-person.
