-Pitches 2-3 stories per week to fellow staff members-Edits stories according to AP Style and for optimal clarity in reporting-Assists in weekly layout of the print newspaper using Adobe Indesign-Posts articles online to website-Writes 1-2 stories per week about various topics, such as politics, breaking news and campus news-Conducts both in-person and virtual interviews with sources-Collaborates and communicates effectively with fellow editorial staff members and writers

-Plays a key role in the recruitment, hiring and training of new orientation leaders-Promotes interest in the orientation leader position through social media marketing and weekly in-person presentations-Thinks critically about how to train new orientation leaders to be successful in welcoming new students, providing space for growth as leaders-Collaborates with various staff members to create schedules

-Welcomed incoming students to the University by creating an inclusive and positive environment for all-Lead small groups of roughly 20 incoming students each session alongside fellow orientation staff-Communicated information about resources, opportunities, and expectations of the University-Worked and communicated effectively with team members and University faculty and staff
