I'm originally from Denver, Colorado, and went to school in Vermont. I'm currently living in Mexico City, where I attend the Universidad Iberoamericana as a master's student in their Migration Studies program. I've had a wonderful experience living in Mexico both personally and professionally. It has been a fantastic challenge to learn to navigate academic environments in another country and in my second language, and I learn so much from my classmates perspectives. My thesis research at Ibero focuses on access to sexual and reproductive healthcare for migrant women in California and Texas. While I'm studying in Mexico, it's important to me to continue applying what I'm learning to my own home country. For that reason, I've chosen a research focus rooted in the United States and relevant to the current social and political context.
