CurrentInstructed Military , Maritime and Managementpersonnel in all facets of theory management , operation and maintenance of MarineMachinery. Gained certification from USCG Marine Inspection Office Ports of New York and Boston toinstruct and test all and any rating or licensed Engineering Officer in any engineeringrelated discipline. Drafted and submitted a syllabus for the training, testing andcertification of QMEDs to the USCG to be taught at the Midcoast Technical School,Rockland, Maine. In the course of such duties I have and will continue to keep all mylicenses and certificates current. In the course of performing Marine Engineering SubjectsI have also made six voyages over a ten year period in TS Empire State Vl and TV KingsPointer the training vessels for the two Maritime Colleges where I taught.- Acted as future operator's representative for the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution during the construction of R/V Atlantis (AGOR-25) a sixtymillion dollar vessel constructed at Halter Marine by the US Navy's Office of NavalResearch to be operated by WHOI. After delivery of this ship assumed responsibilities asvessel's Chief Engineer throughout her guarantee and final contract testing phase (oneyear after delivery) (Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution)* Served as Chief Engineer in numerous Passenger .Dry Cargo and Military Support Vesselsfor over twenty years. (see Ships and Military Unit addendum) - Served in the Mobile Riverine Force (CTF 117) duringCombat Operations in the Mekong Delta during the Vietnam War. USN - Served with the Military Sealift Command at the "Type Desks" for Maritime PositioningVessels and Point to Point Tankers. Drafted and Administrated Engineering Doctrine forship operations world wide.
