CurrentEstablished in 2017 by Vonne Patiag and Maren Smith, we develop and produce film + tv projects that speak to intersectional issues, with a focus on championing and inclusively collaborating with community and marginalised voices. We work with established and emerging talent, creating teams mixing experience and authenticity.In-Between Pictures was awarded Screen Australia's Hot Shots Plus grant to develop and produce the pilot episode of series 'Boy Space Friends' called 'Too Many Ethnics', which is a contemporary take on male friendship set in Western Sydney. Their SBS and Create NSW GEFF funded short film 'Tomgirl' aired nationally on SBS Viceland for the 40th anniversary of Mardi Gras on February 15th, 2018, and is currently available to stream On Demand.The company's online series Halal Gurls, showrun by Vonne, was commissioned as part of the ABC, Create NSW and Information + Cultural Exchange Digital First Comedy program, is viewable on ABC iView and is one of the highest viewed series on ABC Comedy's Youtube.Previous work together includes 'Window' (Best Film, St Kilda Film Festival Olympus Filmmaker Challenge 2016), and 'Yang' (Runner Up Best Film Made In The West 2016)
