Presently I am a consultant and presenter at Bowie Solutions. We provide advisory services in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander strategic engagement. I work with other members of my family to provide Torres Strait Islander cultural services and content including cultural capability training cultural safety training and content review analysis and evaluation. I have worked for the ACT Ombudsman and Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) conducting investigations assessments reviews and other oversight work relating to the correctional services in their respective jursidictions. I have utilised my legal knowledge in matters relating to family law native title human rights criminal and civil law matters in a voluntary capacity postadmission. Preadmission as a clerk I was intricately involved in criminal defence matters in various jurisdictions including matters seeking leave for High Court appeals and voluntary internships in criminal defence matters before the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in 20062007. I completed my Bachelor of Laws LLB (2008) and the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (2012) and was admitted to the Roll of Lawyers in Queensland in 2014. I have a Master of Policing Intelligence & Counter Terrorism (2013) a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice (2017) and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (2012). I have 25 years experience in providing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural consultancy services currently serve as the Chairperson for a Registered Native Title Body Corporate and provide consultancy and management services for a charitable NFP aimed at reducing depression anxiety and suicidal tendencies amongst Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.Key areas of expertise:Investigation: Analysing documentation, relevant observations, interviews, reviews and assessments.Research: General and specific questions of law, general research and pre & post project analysis research.Analysis: Outcome-based, projections analysis, exhibit analysis, cross-referencing and transcript analysis.Reporting: Advanced report-writing for advisory, consultative and compliance purposes.
