I am an Alaska-based naturalist, who has worked as an expedition leader, sea kayak guide, and USCG-licensed captain. I am passionate about connecting visitors to some of the most remote, challenging and awe-inspiring places on the planet. I enjoy both the front-of-house and behind-the-scenes work that goes into providing spectacular guest experiences.I've worked and guided in Alaska, Antarctica, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, New Zealand and the UK, as well as routes in coastal Washington and the Columbia River. I have a 100 ton Near Coastal US Coast Guard Captain's license, and am ACA-certified sea kayak day trip leader. I have worked in expedition cruising since 2015, on both larger (420 guests) and smaller (22 guests) expedition ships. My lecture list includes topics ranging from humpback whale sociality, to the family life of birds, to the lives of marine invertebrates. I hold the following current certifications: Wilderness First Responder, USCG 100 Ton Near Coastal Captain's License, ACA Coastal Kayak Day Trip Leader, ACA Coastal Kayak Level 2 paddler, Alaska Hunter Safety card (firearms proficiency).
