I have worked for Seabourn Odyssey's expedition-focused Ventures program in Southeast Alaska, and on Seabourn Venture and Pursuit, both dedicated expedition ships, working in Antarctica as well as a repositioning cruise from Vancouver to Argentina. I was the recipient of the Crew of the Month award on Seabourn Venture in October 2023, and am the first expedition staff member in the Seabourn fleet to have received this.

During the pandemic, I worked as an administrative and executive assistant for the Seward Boat Harbor, and learned an entirely new side of all things maritime. I provided customer service to boaters ranging from commercial fishermen to owners of multi-million dollar yachts. I coordinated the daily schedule of guided activities for guests at Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge, including guided hikes, kayaking and canoeing trips, and evening presentations. I scheduled, trained and supervised a small team of guides, and was a key member of the remote lodge's management team.

Alaska

I lead lodge clients on interpretive hiking, kayak, and canoe tours within Kenai Fjords National Park, assuring clients' safety and comfort in a remote wilderness environment. I developed educational programs on the ecology and natural history of coastal Alaska. I coordinated trip logistics and guide department work schedules, repaired and maintained kayaks, and developed and maintained the Lodge's private network of hiking trails.

I provided formal and informal interpretation to aquarium visitors, and conducted guided tours of exhibit, research and animal husbandry areas. I developed and presented educational and interpretive programs on Alaska's marine environment, and on the aquarium's marine mammal rehabilitation and research programs. I was originally hired by the aquarium as an intern in 2007, and was subsequently promoted into a seasonal staff role.
