Assess, evaluate, and provide suggestions to strengthen EL Program (ELD courses, EL & RFEP Progress, Provide PD, ELPAC assessments, EL/Newcomer enrollment process )Support the creation of the Multilingual Learners Master Plan

My responsibilities include:-training teachers in Dual Language Schools in areas needed and strategies for the success of the bilingual students in their classrooms- training teachers in SysELD program to deliver explicit instruction for English Learners- presentations to parents (ELAC, DELAC, Platicas) on how to support students at home, how to approach conferences, parent/school communication - bilingual English/Spanish presentations- meeting with principals to plan for Professional Development- inter-department collaboration with Math and Science coaches to present/train teachers - meeting with District administration to plan for Professional Development for Teachers- Curriculum Adoption support for the District- Dual Language Report Card developer and support for teachers- participating in the recruitment of Spanish Teachers through the Spain Visiting Program and CDE

School Year 2013/2014 AccomplishmentsI work with mainstream and EL teachers from elementary to secondary level. I assist teachers with lesson plans, scheduling, and understanding new student assessments, while I encourage them to continue developing professionally. I gather assessments data for data collaboration days with teachers and I'm also assisting secondary teachers and English learners students with the online assessment for reclassification.

As an Instructional Coach I worked as a colleague with classroom teachers to support student learning. We will focus on individual and group professional development that will expand and refine the understanding about researched-base effective instruction. In order to meet this purpose, as Instructional Coach I provided personalized support that is based on the goals and identified needs of individual teachers.

As a Kindergarten teacher I prepare and educate students for the world. Starting with teaching the basics of math, reading and skills. Kindergarten is the first year of formal education, and I work with children ages 5 & 6. I create lesson plans and teach those plans to the entire class, individually to students or in small groups, track student progress and present the information to parents, create tests, create and reinforce classroom rules, work with school administration prepare students for standardized tests, and manage students outside the classroom, such as in school hallways, detention, etc.
