About Margalit Francus
Since my blog's establishment, I have advised many hotels, theme parks, airlines, and CVBs (Convention Visitor Bureaus) to help them become autism-friendly & how to cater more effectively to families with autistic members. I also work both in helping brands achieve their social media potential through organic growth in various media (e.g. Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest) as well as consult to help leisure industry organizations understand how to better serve their customers with special needs.Feel free to contact me at autisticglobetrotting@gmail.com for partnership and job opportunities especially in the following:*Brand building*Social media management*Autism & Travel Consultation****I strongly believe that a diagnosis of autism should not get in the way of traveling and exploring the world, and encourage all families to take that first step and go outside their comfort zone! I was born in Austria, and currently live in Southern California with my husband of 25 years and two sons, one of whom is on the autism spectrum. In 2010, after visiting over seventy countries and thirty states, I established a nonprofit website called Autistic Globetrotting, where I share my stories and tips with other families with children on the spectrum. Through traveling with my own son with autism, I have learned how to develop useful tips, prepare multiple alternate plans as well as accept the absence of dull moments as a way of life. Though my primary focus in creating Autistic Globetrotting was the promotion of autism awareness on a global scale to encourage other families to explore the world, another important goal emerged - the need to become a link between the travel industry and autistic families. Through my work and connections in both communities, I continue to provide help by highlighting the different travel challenges autistic travelers face as well facilitating the long-awaited implementation of accommodations they need to get.
