I love the aquatic environment and the fish and invertebrates that live within streams, lakes, and rivers. My approach to solving aquatic issues focuses on the natural environment and organisms needs, and I try to allow nature to help whenever possible. Over the past 30 years I have researched Atlantic salmon habitat and bioenergetics for restoration in NY, developed and implemented long-term monitoring programs, and conducted habitat assessments for habitat restoration projects, lately using a drone to get aerial images for a better understanding of the natural dynamics of flow. The natural world has always intrigued me and I enjoy working with others to maintain our aquatic environments and species so they will be here for future generations. After owning my own company for four years I took a full time position at the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department as a Fish Program Manager. I am enjoying working with a great group of biologists and helping to maintain our fisheries and aquatic resources and thinking about how to sustain this for future generations.
