I am an experienced public speaker, trainer, mediator and facilitator with a practice in public engagement and outreach, planning and economic development. In recent years I have had the privilege to help communities to develop consensus plans for sustainability and resiliency in preparation for climate change and in recovery from natural disasters.In nearly 30 years as a community planner, I have learned that while people and communities may seem different on the surface, at heart we care about the same things – family, kids, a home, work to pay the bills, faith, health and a safe community. My approach to community planning relies on the basic truth that people don’t resist their own ideas and creates a venue where every voice is heard.
