• Performed data analysis for dynamic material studies, and developed new methods, with associated uncertainty and sensitivity quantification, for radiography, metrology, and interferometry, including brand-new diagnostics as well as novel fielding setups for existing diagnostics• PI on a 2-year, $568k project using deep learning with uncertainty quantification for radiography (Featured in FY22Q2 LDRD Quarterly Highlights.)• Developed novel analytics and controls for automating experimental measurement systems• Strong history of university outreach and student mentorship- advised 10 undergraduate student semester-long research projects, advised 8 REU students’ summer research projects, and supported 4 summer interns, in addition to regular volunteer activities with younger student groups

Worked on the design, implementation, and evaluation of a new algorithm, locally adaptive discriminant analysis (LADA), that successfully identifies boundaries, with quantified uncertainties, in challenging radiographs from dynamic material studies in support of Stockpile Stewardship

I was an intern on the Signal Processing & Applied Math team for 2014, 2015, and 2016. I studied hyperprior parameters in hierarchical Bayesian models and helped develop statistically justified error bars for the solutions to linear inverse problems using a Markov chain Monte Carlo approach and spatially varying priors. Our paper, Bayesian Abel Inversion in Quantitative X-Ray Radiography, was published in SISC and highlighted in SIAM Nugget Bytes.

I designed novel anisotropic variant of LADA for robust analysis and UQ, for application to mission-critical radiographs from dynamic material studies and collaborated with MIT and Lawrence Livermore National Lab to analyze images from high velocity physics experiments

Tutor in the Saint Louis University Linux Lab for students learning MATLAB and C++

Taught all summer physics labs at Saint Louis University. This included setting up lab stations, giving lectures, monitoring labs, grading, and taking inventory of the physics storeroom.
