About Margaret (Peg) A. Maher

I am a PhD-trained Professor Emeritus with additional experience as an Academic Advisor and as a Clinical Dietitian. I am passionate about helping patients and students set and succeed in achieving their health-related and professional goals, respectively. I enjoyed teaching first year seminar, human anatomy & physiology, human endocrinology, and food and nutrition courses. My research interests are related to nutrient interactions with endocrine systems. My teaching, research, and continuing education activities have informed my nutrition counseling practice in the student health center setting and now as a Clinical Dietitian at Dartmouth Health Children's Hospital and Clinics. Engaging with people where they are, helping them find and use the resources they need, and building their confidence in their abilities is always my goal.
