Margaret is a bereaved mother who has suffered many losses. Her daughter, Madelynn was born still on May 12,2009 at 39+ weeks’ gestation, due to a cord accident. She has lost 9 pregnancies, 3 of which were twins. Madelynn’s twin died at 10 weeks’ gestation.Margaret decided very early in her grief journey to make purpose out of the pain. She lived in NJ where she joined the TEARS Foundation and developed the Center for Pregnancy and Infant Loss in 2013. Her journey included not only growth in her spirituality but in her education, as well. She is a recipient of the Death and Grief Studies Certificate thru Dr. Wolfelt’s Center for Loss in Colorado. Margaret has a passion for holistic healing and In 2015 completed her training as a Usui Reiki Master Teacher. Margaret moved to the Central Florida area where she settled in nicely as The TEARS Foundation’s Emotional Support Director. Her passions consist of developing the emotional support programs across the US, Uganda, Kenya and Guatemala. Margaret takes pride as she finds unique ways to facilitate healing across the world. Margaret’s other love is her passion of teaching. She helps train hospitals, funeral homes, and other facilities on compassionate care through The TEARS Foundation. Along with teaching, Margaret has a drive for learning. She is currently attending Rollins College, Winter Park, FL, where she is earning a Psychology degree. Margaret’s hope is to be a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a College professor. Working with The TEARS Foundation, Margaret continues to lift bereaved families up in HOPE. She is in contact with all families who apply for assistance as well as offer support to the leaders. Margaret honors all families who have lost a child, and all children who are no longer with us physically. She is a compassionate caregiver with real life experience.
