Ampersand Families provides permanency and adoption services to older youth in the foster care system who face barriers to equity in child welfare. We work upstream to prevent young people from entering the system in the first place. And we are working to champion systemic changes that advance belonging, dignity and hope for youth and families as they navigate the child welfare system.

NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center provides a unique blend of health & human services to residents of north Minneapolis and surrounding communities. I'm helping NorthPoint develop new partnerships and raise funds for the critical work we do in this culturally rich, ethnically diverse community.

Dunwoody College of Technology is a private nonprofit technical college whose graduates include many of the Midwest's top business leaders and entrepreneurs. I'm working with Dunwoody's Institutional Advancement department to identify and pursue new opportunities related to equity, inclusion, and community partnerships as well as help raise funds for the College's capital campaign.

The St. Louis Park Human Rights Commission is made up of seven St. Louis Park residents appointed by the City Council. During my tenure, prior to being elected to the City Council myself, I worked with my fellow commissioners to cultivate a community that embraces principles of equality, mutual respect, fair treatment, and social equity.

MRAC is a publicly funded agency whose key role is to distribute Minnesota taxpayer dollars to support small to mid-size arts organizations in the seven-county metro area. In my six years on the board, I served as board member (1 year), vice chair (3 years), and chair (2 years).

I worked closely with the Minneapolis Public Schools' Arts for Academic Achievement (AAA) staff to identify potential funders for program, capital, and general operating support, then develop successful proposals to grant makers including the McKnight, Carlson, Hearst and Ford foundations.

I've helped FAIR secure major state, federal, and corporate foundation grants totaling more than $3 million since 2010, including a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant that currently funds all after school activities at the downtown school.

The Moving Company is an artist-led theater company creating bold and transformative theater for local and national audiences. I helped the board and company strategize around complex fundraising challenges and secure competitive grant awards, as well as manage their successful 2011 Give to the Max Day effort.

The Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency is a 110-year-old health and human services agency providing compassionate care to people of all ages in the Twin Cities area. I helped MVNA ramp up their grants department over a 16-month period, working with staff to identify priorities for grantseeking, generating a comprehensive prospect list, creating grant templates for MVNA's various programs and departments, connecting the CEO with potential major funders, and submitting proposals for funding.

Achieve Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Public Schools work to ensure every student in Minneapolis is career and college ready. Working closely with a team of professionals in education, communications, government, the arts, and youth-serving organizations, I helped craft a multi-level strategic plan for expanding arts learning for youth in Minneapolis.
