Qualitative and quantitative human dimensions research. I conduct semi-structured interviews, draft surveys, analyze qualitative and quantitative data. Topics include aquaculture, coastal water quality, pollination, forest pests, private well water, environmental education, local level organizations, common pool resource management, resilience, risk perception.

Drafted the Comprehensive Plan for the town of Isle au Haut. Worked with the Comprehensive Planning Committee of the town of Isle au Huat to create resource inventories, conducted data analysis, and propose policies. Created public involvement strategy, conducted interviews and public meeting. Met with state, federal and local officials.

Assisted Dr. Kathleen Bell in preparing literature reviews, conducting policy analyses, completing statistical analyses, coordinating meetings with municipal officials. Provide research support to an interdisciplinary team of researchers studying sustainable lake management.

Recruited volunteers to work on backcountry trail crews on the Appalachian Trail in Maine. Developed recruiting plan to increase volunteer participation.

Managed base camp operations and provided logistical support for three seasonal trail crews. Recruited volunteers to supplement crews of Student Conservation Association interns and Maine Conservation Corps members.

Built and improved trail structures to protect Horserace Brook from sedimentation while providing access to four remote ponds in Northern Maine. Assisted with the construction of a 24-foot timber bridge and taught trail skills to volunteers and a local snowmobile club.
