Consulting position. Previous experience in EMR products provided vital knowledge base for business office conversion to NextGen EPM/EMR product. Recruited by a partner from the previous practice to serve as practice manager. Instrumental in setting up the Clinex practice management system (including EMR). Served as consultant and knowledge base to the owners on rules, regulations, and initial set-up issues as their medical practice was launched. Negotiated with Rogue Valley Medical Center NICU for direct payment for provider's consultations. Worked to obtain funding for patients that did not qualify for State assistance. At my request, received ophthalmic technician training. Supervised and trained billing and front-office staff.
