I concentrate in Matrimonial, Family, and Adoption Law, serving clients throughout Westchester and Putnam counties. As a solo practitioner, teaming with a paralegal, I am able to pay close attention to each client. I bring compassion and decades of experience to clients and their families. Much of my work involves using a collaborative-law approach to marriage dissolution. I work with other attorneys, other collaboratively-trained professionals and the family to address and resolve all issues. This collaborative approach minimizes conflict and is particularly sensitive to, and protective of, the children in divorcing families. While I prefer a collaborative approach to divorce, I continue to litigate when required. I also act as a Mediator and serve as support Counsel in mediations, providing an independent point of view.Adoption law and representation of children are also large parts of my practice. Cases cover:• Private placement adoptions • Re-adoptions and second parent adoptions• Contested custody and visitation or contested adoption• Children with PINS (persons in need of supervision) cases filed against themI am certified annually by the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department of New York State to represent children. I train annually and have received positive feedback from the judiciary.Finally, I represent my clients in residential real estate transactions, simple estate planning and drafting of wills.
