o As fundraiser-in-chief, designed and implemented annual development plan including mailed appeals, corporate program, grants writing, campaigns for special projects, as well as events designed specifically to net profit. Until July of 2018, I not only managed the strategic direction but also the administration including prospecting, database management, thank you letters, and membership fulfillment. o Increased cash gifts from sources other than the Founder’s Family Foundation by 40% in FY2017o 80% growth of gifts over $1000 in FY2017 o Tripled member households and revenues between 2013 – 2018 o In partnership with the Planning Committee Chair, developed a Strategic Business Plan for the Museum and put it into action to move the organization forward as an educational organization, first and foremost, with priority on building diverse gifted and earned revenue streamso Implemented revisions to the Museum’s accounting methodologies to allow more robust tracking of revenues and expenditures that builds organizational credibility and makes budgeting and reporting processes more efficient and accurate for management. Created a Finance Committee. o Addressed the lack of proper administrative tools including creating an Employee Handbook and introducing staff meetings o Built strong and strategic partnerships for the Museum to elevate its stature and increase visitation including LL Bean, Maine Stone Workers Guild/Maine Coast Stone Symposium, and the new Boothbay Food + Music Festival o Began conforming the Museum to standardized expectations of collecting institutions. Added additional lectures, classes & workshops aligned with the Mission. Introduced the Artisan Day’s concept of first person interactions with modern artists and craftspeople that preserve techniques and processed of the time period the Museum interprets. Improved displays and added interpretation to exhibits.
