I’m Dr. Margaret Mutumba, a global health researcher, innovator and entrepreneur committed to addressing health inequities and transforming lives through innovative, accessible, and culturally relevant solutions.💡 With over a decade of experience, my work spans global health innovation, reproductive health, and fertility care. From consulting with the World Health Organization on human reproduction to founding MedAtlas, I’ve dedicated my career to breaking barriers and ensuring underserved communities have access to the care they deserve.🩺 At MedAtlas, our mission is clear: use digital health technology to connect patients in Africa with affordable, high-quality fertility care. Through this platform, we’ve reduced wait times, improved access, and offered new hope to those navigating infertility—a deeply personal and societal challenge.🏅 My efforts have been recognized by honors such as the Uganda Diaspora Impact Award, the Social Innovation Award from the University of Toronto, and the WomenLift Health Leadership Scholarship, supported by the Gates Foundation.📢 Beyond MedAtlas, I’m proud to lead the Frugal Biomedical Innovations Program at Western University, where we co-develop cost-effective, scalable medical technologies tailored for low-resource and remote communities across Canada and Africa. 📌 I’m also deeply committed to empowering communities through collaboration, which is why I serve on the Board of the Nnabageereka Development Foundation, led by Her Royal Highness the Queen of Buganda.
