Margaret K Email and Phone Number
I received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in May of 2014, and I am embarking on my first year as an Optometry Candidate in the Class of 2018 at U.C. Berkeley Optometry. Realizing my vision of becoming an optometrist requires perception that incorporates near-sight and far-sight. Near-sight sees optometry as what enables me to do everything I can to care for the eyes of my patient, while far-sight sees optometry fitting my passion for life-long learning, my commitment to continued scientific inquiry, and my desire to dedicate myself to a life of service to my patients. Throughout my four years of undergraduate education, I volunteered with elderly Alzheimer's patients, children, and at-risk high school students, and I hope to remain actively engaged in the community throughout my time in optometry school, and as an optometrist. What we as future optometrists give in improving our patient's quality of vision, we gain even more in perspective, receiving the unique privilege to see the world through another's eyes and through another's lens.
