A former Adviser to the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Administrative Modernisation and currently Invited Professor at the Faculty of Psychology of University of Lisbon. I am also the Co-Principal Investigator to a research project funded by portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology at the University of Minho.Driven by a deep interest in public policy and digital transformation, with a strong understanding of territorial cohesion and local administration. Over the last years, as part of the Cabinet of the Portuguese Secretary of State for Digitalization and Administrative Modernization, I've been at the forefront of Portugal’s digital policies and administrative modernization efforts. My contributions were crucial in devising the national strategy for smart territories and in overseeing the roll-out of digital skills and inclusion initiatives, along with open government policies.In the recent past I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Psychological Neuroscience Lab at University of Minho working on a myriad of research projects investigating the brain mechanisms underlying social decision-making, alcohol addiction, language processing, musical expertise and developmental Dyslexia.I have a Ph.D. in Basic Psychology based on research studies that were awarded, in 2017, with a highly competitive student grant of the Association for Psychological Science (USA). I have strong experience in navigating complex policy environments, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement, and turning strategic concepts into implementable actions. I also bring a decade of neuroscience research and teaching experience, with numerous peer-reviewed publications, supervision of graduate students (Master and PhD students), and co-leadership and participation on research projects funded by FCT.
