A community to Elevate, Empower and Protect women in the marine sciences.Mission : We tackle gendered issues in marine science and conservation to empower women to thrive in ocean-related careers and learning environments. Supporting women is protecting the ocean - we’re creating an international movement to elevate the female voices working to protect our marine environment.I stared with WOS as an editor with the below responsibilities: 1. Producing monthly content for the WOS website2. Writing, editing and proof reading blogs and interviews 3. Contacting external authors and interviewees for content4. I run the coral propagation project here in Baa Atoll based at Four Seasons Resort Landaa Giraavaru. I manage over 5000 coral frames, which are monitored every 6 months and locations tracked using QGIS. In order to elucidate our knowledge on coral growth rates, survivorship and mortality, I utilise our AI technology and run statistical analysis. During my time I spearheaded a novel study to understand sexual reproductive patterns of Acropora across two Maldivian Atolls, as little is known about species synchronicity. Currently my focus is on the use of coral larvae capture and cross fertilisation in order to increase genetic diversity for the use in coral restoration to ensure the survival of the next generation of thermo-tolerant coral species. Additionally, I take part in community education workshops on the importance of coral reefs, lead a Junior Marine Savers course as well educate guests, internal staff and interns through both informative and engaging presentations and hands on experiences. Throughout my time I restored over 100,000 coral fragments.

Supporting the delivery of the marine plastic project in Cambodia including technical reports, communications materials and desk based research.

1. Daily operation & coordination of Ocean Stewardship Volunteer Program - Teach and train interns through a 'Coral Reef Ecology Course' designed to provide key scientific survey techniques & robust species ID skills to assess the health of coral reefs, seagrasses and mangroves. 2. I conduct scientific research and analysis on coral reefs around the Koh Rong Archipelago. Our main focus is to increase diversity and resilience of corals within the reserve by relocating thermally tolerant corals from neighbouring reefs.3. Work in partnership with organisations such as FFI to assess the health of Cambodia's reefs.4. Education and outreach initiatives to staff, guests and local communities.

I spent over 1000 hours working on one of the largest mid water floating coral nurseries in Maldives, at maximum capacity holding over 10,000 coral frags. Helped to increase coral reef resilience of branching and massive coral species around VPI island.

SVS Field Supervisor. Led and trained undergraduate students in the efficiency of underwater SVS and Underwater Visual Census (UVC) fish surveys and benthic surveys, including analytical proficiency.
