Finally made the move from agency to charity for a three-month Individual Giving contract through Beaumont. Worked across internal teams and alongside external agency partners to successfully develop and deliver the Tax Appeal eDM and SMS reminders, EOFY Statement mailing for RGs, August Newsletter pack and Spring Appeal, ensuring thorough recording and reporting of outcomes. Developed skills and knowledge within Salesforce, with a focus on creating and analysing Reports to uncover strategic risks and opportunities. Helped improve database integrity and accuracy through cleaning and validation processes. Gained further experience extracting, managing, organising and analysing donor data in Excel to build mailing files and ensure effective RFV targeting. Developed working knowledge of Ortto (Autopilot) and Twillio while executing eDM and SMS campaigns, and of Mail Merge (Word) while facilitating internal mail outs.

Worked across Appeals, Regular Giving, Gift in Wills, Newsletters, Major Gifts, Giving Days, and Community Fundraising. Planned and executed client campaigns from initial brainstorm through to final artwork, ensuring client budgets were adhered to and deadlines were met. Worked alongside the Resource Manager to plan and schedule the creative resources needed to execute new campaigns. Created and nurtured strong relationships with clients, receiving outstanding personal feedback.

Helped lead the client service team in developing, managing and implementing our clients’ digital and direct response fundraising strategies, while delivering campaigns to the highest standard from planning through to execution and analysis. Working in a small agency meant acting as the sole project manager on client accounts, and required deep involvement in all aspects of their campaigns. Was responsible for everything from creating timelines and writing copy to annual budget forecasting, strategic insights, and in-depth results analysis. Was dedicated to providing a consistently high level of client satisfaction at all times, with a proven record of excellent client retention.

Wrote letters and campaign copy for a variety of charities and causes around the UK. Gained experience with direct mail and digital appeals, legacy acquisition, legacy information booklets, in-memorium materials, newsletters, online and mobile retention programs, and thank you letters for appeals and legacy pledges.Worked directly under some of the top fundraisers in the UK market, and was involved in strategic planning on various campaigns. Regularly performed phone and in-person interviews with a variety of people from charity beneficiaries to CEOs. Presented creative concepts to clients.Had the opportunity to attend many fundraising conferences on behalf of Bluefrog, including the IoF London conference in 2011, Fundraising Ireland's conference in 2012, Scotland's Be Good Be Social in 2012, and SOFII's I Wish I'd Thought Of That in 2012. I also volunteered at the International Fundraising Conference (IFC) in the Netherlands in both 2011 and 2012.

Started as a fundraising intern and was hired on full-time within the first month. Worked on researching key parts of the fundraising sector for the company to use on future campaigns. Was mentored by the research and planning departments, and assisted the client services department in day-to-day tasks, welcoming clients, booking meetings, and being the face of the company at the front desk.

Responsible for medical bird care including feeding, cleaning and medicating. Worked daily on giving wildlife advice and crisis management over the phone. Spoke with over 2000 people and talked them through difficult situations with wildlife. Experienced working in a collaborative team environment. Staff met daily to discuss the individual patients’ cases and talk through the work day’s plan. Made decisions as a team by hearing everyone’s ideas and respectfully deciding as a group on the best course of action.

Cared for sport horses at one of the top eventing barns in Ontario. Assisted vets, farriers, and upper management with a large variety of tasks including riding and exercise, building, and event preparation.

Did voice-over work for public service announcements for not-for-profits including United Way Canada. Made over 200 cold calls to television and radio stations to promote public service announcements for non-profit organizations including Children’s Wish Foundation. Independently produced a short video for the Canadian Revenue Agency. Transcribed public service announcement scripts for editing for the public sector including the Canadian Space Agency.
