As a result, the team provides higher-quality support to educators, reduced staff, and improved collaboration among a team working multi-functionally. ♦ Content and Product Development. Lead the development and deployment of professional development content and products with a digital first approach that supports innovative, culturally responsive teaching and learning, effectively meeting the needs of a diverse, global network of educators.♦ Community Engagement. Re-envisioned IB’s use of technology as a tool to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of interactions with IB educators, ensuring an engaging high-quality user experience that supports the complexities of recruiting, training, allocating, and performance management of educators for their work with the IB.

Supervised and provided instructional leadership for multiple departments creating a climate conducive of learning, planning and coordinating programs, affecting change, and decision-making. As a result, 94% (470/500) students earned a 2.0 or above. ♦ Learning and Development. Conceptualized, implemented, and evaluated a comprehensive two-tier approach to professional learning for the instructional leadership team and teachers with a focus on coaching to improve staff capacity resulting in improved student academic performance. ♦ Stakeholder Engagement. Collaborated with a variety of stakeholders to increase involvement of the underserved student population with a focus on addressing equity challenges and increasing participation in advance courses and college preparation. As a result, student eligibility and participation in advanced courses increased. ♦ Communication. Initiated systematic processes to manage short-term and long-term plans, agendas, and updates with school leaders, teachers, and students efficiently with the goal of fostering a positive school culture and drive toward uniform goals and objectives.

Provided coaching, guidance, and training to schools developing special programs with a focus on International Baccalaureate Programmes. Developed and delivered training (face-to-face and online) on effective leadership, effective communication, instructional programming, collaborative planning, curriculum mapping and evaluation and assessment.♦ International Education. Selected to participate on a team of 12 global educators to provide direction and leadership of a major program change for the international baccalaureate middle years’ program. Worked with leading educationalist, professors, assessment agencies, and IB to create a much upgraded program that will be implemented in thousands of schools around the world.

Established a common vision for the International Baccalaureate (IB) in MCPS by developing systems and practices to support administrators, coordinators, and teachers in 20 schools. Developed, managed and allocated the budget for special programming including the management and supervision of a financial assistant.♦ Capacity Building |Training. Developed on-going training for principals, International Baccalaureate coordinators and teachers designed to engage adult learners. Created 3 continuing professional development courses approved by State of Maryland.♦ Change Management | Education Reform. Established clear workflow and onboarding processes to supervise coordinators of special programs. Resulted in living documents for effective knowledge transfer. ♦ Instructional Leadership. Developed and delivered four-part series of instructional leadership trainings for 100 principals. Requested by IB organization to develop and deliver 15-hour training on instructional leadership of International Baccalaureate programs now used by IB for leaders around the world. ♦ Program Development and Implementation. Developed timeline and action plan to help schools implement special program for coordinator onboarding including self-evaluation rubric. Protocols still utilized. ♦ Strategic Planning. Developed growth-focused strategic plan for IB programs including planning, teaching, and assessment.
