I am adept at conducting research and investigations regarding a wide variety of topics and is undoubtedly something I am passionate about. In May of 2023, I was accepted into the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Summer 2023 program at Wayne State University’s Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice (C3JD 23). This program is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF). I received my certificate of completion in July 2023. I have experience with SPSS and am currently learning Python and JavaScript. Through maintaining critical thinking, identifying appropriate time allocation, and by constant evaluation and re-evaluation of priorities, I am able to work on multiple tasks with competing deadlines simultaneously. In my previous position of 12.5 years through Cherokee Nation Entertainment (casino), I worked with supervisors and managers to ensure they stay in compliance with the company's policies and procedures. When discrepancies were noticed, I notified the appropriate channels, and provided one-on-one training and development. To ensure the company would not fall back into default, I continued monitoring the issue through regulatory auditing and communication with Sr. Management and everyone involved. My primary tasks were to assist four departments regarding various financial tracking, analytics and trends, error investigation, appropriate planning and recourse, by using and creating Excel spreadsheets. I worked closely with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and the Sr. Managers of each of the four departments. This assistance contained sensitive and confidential information that I was responsible for. I have experience in conflict resolution and mediation, working in high-stress and high-demand environments, while remaining intent on producing high-accuracy results. Much of my tasks involved direct contact with HR, Accounting, event staff, front-line staff, outside vendors, and guests. Additionally, I have a lot of experience with graphic design, VIP event planning and execution, and other forms of marketing. In my free-time, I am a freelance photographer (commercial, portrait, fine art, events, structural buildings).
