Assists the Project Manager and Document Control Manager in completing and submitting the construction management and quality control documentation as required by contract. In addition, job duties include receiving, handling and developing the required submittal packages for various projects, and providing them to client for review.Key projects include:• NOV-07B Fronting Protection, Sunrise and Grand Liard Pump Station, Plaquemines Parish, LA. USACE.• Replacement of High Pressure Industrial Water Distribution System Piping, Stennis Space Center, MS. • Responsible for oversight, surveillance and compliance of permitted industries within the 10 parishes of the Louisiana Southeast Region. • Performs inspection and incident response across multiple media types including air, water, solid waste and oil & gas. • Trained in the use of EPA Response Manager and Emergency Preparedness to facilitate agency integration in the event of a storm or other major disaster.• Assists with Emergency Response (ER) events such as chemical or hazardous material releases.• Performs air monitoring and sampling.

• Assisted in the conceptual development, design and execution of restoration projects with special circumstances including Natural Resource Damage claims, Carbon offset credits, and Habitat Equivalency Analyses.• Designed and acted as Project Manager on multiple mitigation projects involving restoration of coastal wetlands for various state, private and nonprofit clients.• Represented the organization at a variety of conferences and technical workshops, in addition to creating project factsheets, prospectuses, marketing materials, posters, and other materials to increase the effectiveness of presentations.• Successfully secured funding and managed the execution of a variety of projects, including $20,000 wetland restoration project in Lafouche Parish, and a $20,000 restoration and mitigation project in Eastpoint, FL.• Selected by Vice President to develop and manage projects and secure all necessary accommodations for a documentary series in which the organization partners with nonprofits to solve environmental and human problems.• Provided environmental contractor oversight and insight during BP gulf coast cleanup, reconnaissance, and recovery of oil and oiled debris from beaches and marsh habitats in an emergency recovery situation.• Coordinated cleanup and recovery efforts amongst local, state, and federal agencies as well as operations managers and local private stakeholders.• Advised cleanup personnel, SCAT teams and Coast Guard on the best ways to avoid sensitive habitats and species in affected areas. • Conducted extensive, frequent field surveys and assisted in the development of GIS maps delineating avian nesting areas. Used information gathered during field surveys to provide recommendations to guide operational policy regarding cleanup practices.• Developed and analyzed an MS Access database of BMP compliance to assist in the creation of a more effective environmental policy.

Provided technical and scientific consulting services for nonprofit, state and industry clients. Promoted from internship to a paid position within two weeks of employment, as a result of strong work ethic and competencies. Selected client projects include:Gulf Coast Restoration Network• Secured a $10,000 grant from Tulane University in conjunction with Gulf Restoration Network. Acted as principal investigator (PI) on the project to identify environmental impacts from the Deepwater Horizon BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico such as potentially sensitive species. Constructed and analyzed a database of current, future and proposed research activities to determine gaps and deficiencies in the research while providing recommendations to the GRN in order to guide policy and advocacy efforts.• Developed a project fact sheet in order to disseminate key findings to the communities of the Greater Gulf Coast.• Presented project findings at GRN’s Gulf Gathering Workshop to further educate and encourage community participation and advocacy.Louisiana Public Health Institute• Performed supplementary tasks for the Louisiana State Interagency Work Group in accordance with Impact and Needs Assessment in response to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Event. Coordinated assessment activities in conjunction with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as environmental stakeholders.Eco-Asset Development• Assisted in the development of eco-assets projections and designs based on carbon offset methodology from afforestation, reforestation, and revegetation of degraded deltaic wetlands. Oxfam America• Updated the Emergency Contingency Plan in order to maximize the Oxfam’s capacity to provide effective assistance. Lake Ponchartrain Basin Foundation• Provided scientific and technical expertise on the Pontchartrain Coastal Lines of Defense (PCLOD) program’s priority projects in support of coastal sustainability and hurricane protection programs.

• Conducted onshore as well as offshore paleontology procedures in the Gulf of Mexico. • Aided the laboratory staff with the integrated sample preparation and examination services including foraminifera and nannofossil preparations.• Helped optimize efficiency and monitored quality in a laboratory environment.• Arranged for the pick up and delivery of samples for multiple locations, interfacing with hot shot drivers, laboratory managers, and interdisciplinary personnel.
