During career served in numerous departmental assignments with increasing levels of responsibility and authority. Partial list of duties included: Serving as liaison between Command Staff and Rank and File personnel to address and resolve issues of concern. MDPD liaison with County Attorney, Miami-Dade County Human Relations, and all Labor Unions and Employee Representatives in resolving employment issues.  Maintaining liaison between departmental elements to ensure fluidity of operations and accomplishment of departmental objectives.  Serving as liaison between Miami-Dade County citizenry and the MDPD to address and resolve concerns and complaints.Executive Officer, responsible for assisting the District Commander with commanding, coordinating, directing and controlling the activities of the Northside District. Maintain oversight of approximately 270-295 (sworn and civilian) employees in all daily operational aspects of the District. Assignments included the Administrative, Burglary, Person/Property Crimes, Auto Theft, Crime Analysis, Priority Services and Violent Crimes Abatement Units; Crime Suppression Team; Community Services Squad; Desk Operations and Uniform Patrol. Prepare budget and monitor all financial expenditures and transactions to ensure fiscal efficiency. Coordiante and complete interview/selection process of personnel vying for positions in specialized assignments. Represent District/Department providing informatin to the public and media as needed and appropriate.
