Also responsible for identifying creative ways to partner with the private sector through cause-marketing, employee engagement, signature sponsorships, advocacy and more. Nothing But Nets is a global grassroots campaign aimed at raising awareness and funding to help prevent malaria. Every 2 minutes , a child dies from malaria. The disease disproportionately impacts children under 5 and pregnant women in sub-Saharan Africa. In the last decade, global efforts to fight malaria have resulted in a 58% reduction in malaria deaths in children under age 5, and 4.3 million lives have been saved due to malaria interventions. Girl Up envisions a world where all girls, no matter where they live, have the opportunity to become educated, healthy, safe, counted and positioned to be the next generation of leaders. Through leadership programs in the US and around the world, Girl Up empowers young women to find their voices to speak for their sisters whose voices are not easily heard. They support girls in developing countries through funding for access to education, safe spaces, combating early marriages, and more.Shot@Life is a movement to protect children worldwide by funding the provision of life-saving vaccines where they are most needed. More than 220,000 Champions and supporters are adding their voices and investing in a healthier world, helping to give every child a healthy shot at life. In support of the United Nations and partners like Gavi, the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF, Shot@Life aims to decrease the 1.5 million vaccine-preventable deaths around the world each year.
