Grameen Foundation seeks to enable the poor, especially women, to end poverty and hunger for themselves, their families, and their communities. As VP Development & Communications I:- Provided guidance, oversight, and effective leadership and management of the development and marketing teams, including the establishment of annual operating plans, goals and benchmarks, metrics, and tracking mechanisms toward each department.- Participated closely in strategic and operational planning for the organization as part of Leadership Team.- Developed strategies to expand Grameen Foundation's traditional bases of philanthropic support among both small and large sum individual, foundation and non-project-based corporate donors to achieve short-, medium-, and long-term unrestricted and lightly restricted revenue goals.- Managed a portfolio of high-level donors and partners, including members of the Board of Directors.- Fostered collaboration between managed and related departments in order to create a reliable stream of meaningful data, narratives, financial reporting, and general positive team morale.- Served as an ambassador and representative to key constituents, including donors, media, social media, Board and staff, industry and professional associations, and global affiliates.- Oversaw integration of donor databases, and communication tools and software from completely separate platforms into consolidated systems within initial nine months of the organizational integration.- Steered process for a complete rebrand to represent the now-combined missions and ‘new’ face of the organization, with the aim to better promote our innovative programs to potential supporters.

Director of Development, Campaigns (July 2014 - October 2016)Senior Campaign Officer, Nothing But Nets (April 2013 - June 2014)Responsible for thanking, stewarding, and inspiring some of the most generous supporters to the campaigns of the United Nations Foundation, and introduce the campaigns to new potential supporters. Also responsible for identifying creative ways to partner with the private sector through cause-marketing, employee engagement, signature sponsorships, advocacy and more. Nothing But Nets is a global grassroots campaign aimed at raising awareness and funding to help prevent malaria. Every 2 minutes , a child dies from malaria. The disease disproportionately impacts children under 5 and pregnant women in sub-Saharan Africa. In the last decade, global efforts to fight malaria have resulted in a 58% reduction in malaria deaths in children under age 5, and 4.3 million lives have been saved due to malaria interventions. Girl Up envisions a world where all girls, no matter where they live, have the opportunity to become educated, healthy, safe, counted and positioned to be the next generation of leaders. Through leadership programs in the US and around the world, Girl Up empowers young women to find their voices to speak for their sisters whose voices are not easily heard. They support girls in developing countries through funding for access to education, safe spaces, combating early marriages, and more.Shot@Life is a movement to protect children worldwide by funding the provision of life-saving vaccines where they are most needed. More than 220,000 Champions and supporters are adding their voices and investing in a healthier world, helping to give every child a healthy shot at life. In support of the United Nations and partners like Gavi, the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF, Shot@Life aims to decrease the 1.5 million vaccine-preventable deaths around the world each year.
