The two conserved multiprotein TOR Complexes regulate various aspects of cellular homeostasis, and have as such been involved in a growing number of human diseases, ranging from cancer to metabolic or neurodegenerative problems. My project focused on the molecular mechanisms by which TORC2 participates to the maintenance of plasma membrane tension in budding yeast. It was carried jointly between two laboratories of the departments of Molecular Biology & Biochemistry of the Faculty of Sciences, and attached to the NCCR Chemical Biology.- Successfully planned, carried and analyzed experiments in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, leading to the publication of three peer-reviewed articles in high impact journals- Presented results at several international conferences- Created original visuals to illustrate the results of colleagues - Designed and run lab courses for undergraduate students
