Coordinated data collection and exploratory analysis for studies of construction lane closure and winter maintenance methods, including supervising a technical team. Project lead for the development of new pedestrian crossovers for OTM Book 15 – Pedestrian Crossing Facilities. Prepared internal MTO training presentation and videos for new OTM Book 7 – Temporary Conditions. Prime author for update to OTM Book 6 – Warning Signs.

Conducted expert opinion assessments through analysis of legal file and field visit data and comparison with industry guidance and practice. Range of studies included pedestrian and cyclist collisions, posted speed limits, geometric design including roadside hazards, and winter maintenance. Provided insightful verbal and written reports. Coached and mentored junior staff.

Designed traffic signals, signs and pavement markings and created signal timing plans. Responded to queries from the public and elected officials. Analyzed overall collision report and individual intersection and road section collision histories to identify mitigation measures.

Developed aspects of Freeway Traffic Management Systems for MTO and City of Toronto.
