I work in a very small school system, which I love. I have a colleague who works with the 1-2 graders. I work with the 3-5 graders. The students we serve are those whose native language is not English. I work with the 3-5 graders. My goal is for them to be successful enough with the language that they are academically successful in their classrooms. It's a hard line to draw. My fluency in Spanish definitely comes in handy when working with our families. I have been a teacher for 28 years now and have always loved having a job that is with children. Show less
