Improving my ceramics skills and knowledge and performing various logistical tasks in the studio.In this position I learned how to prepare the studio for classes and workshops, such as preparing clay for throwing, mixing glazes, and mass-glazing the bisque fired pots for the students. Furthermore, I got to participate in many 'behind the scenes' activities such as filling and emptying the kilns, recycling clay, and cleaning and repainting the kiln plates to sustain their durability.During this internship I worked four days a week for a month and a half, and received two hours of instruction and practice time per day, to develop my own throwing skills. In this time I mastered how to center the clay on the wheel, making plates, bowls, pots with a lid, mugs, and plant pots.I also got the opportunity to learn more about engobe, as I was present when Jordana first introduced decorating and coloring with engobe to her workshops. Besided mixing and storing, samples were created and documented as examples for the students to see.

Working closely with the social media team to create interesting visual content, delivering a strong on-brand presence across different platforms and increasing engagement.My role as graphic design intern entailed designing and creating illustrations to accompany articles on current events, as well as aiding the brainstorming, mindmapping, and designing phases for the rebranding of the INJECTION website.A key experience this internship provided me with was leading the 2022 Halloween project. In this position I headed the collaboration with another female led magazine, the 7HeartsArchive, managing communication channels, resources, and timing. Primary contact point for customers, improving customer loyalty, managing reservations and capacity, presenting of concept and brand to customers, handling queries and disputes, in Spanish.As my fourth job in the hospitality business, being a CRM was a natural position to help enhance my communication and interpersonal skills. El Sorbo is an intimate space, where many of the customers are regulars and as such, maintaining these relationships was one of my main roles. Besides which, as new customers would peak their head through the door on a daily basis, sharing El Sorbo's concept and vision in a engaging manner was paramount.I gained experience in logistical management through organising the list for incoming customers, as well as managing entrance as the space reached capacity. My previous experience as bartender and waitress provides me with an acute attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs of the customers and of my colleagues, allowing me to provide assistance and enhance customer experience. Moreover, my cross-functionality made me an ideal candidate to fulfil a variety of roles.

Redesigning online presence of a local library in Segovia (Casa de La Lectura), including logo redesign and animation, website redesign, orientation map, design of brochure, and poster design.In this primary role as a design intern, I underwent the design process to aid the redesign and rebranding of Casa de La Lectura that accompanied the library's new project of Casetas de Verano. During their implementation of these seasonal access points placed in various parks, our team went to various touchpoint meetings with representatives of the library, allowing us to learn how to ask critical questions to understand their needs and vision. In order to improve the reach and interaction of their online access points, I completed an analysis of their website and social media platforms, identifying points for improvement in order to provide layout and design alternatives based on the functionality and purpose of the platform they were using. As part of raising awareness for this project, I created a brochure and orientation map sharing information on how to use the casetas and how to find them, along with designing logos for the initiative and creating an animation combining the original logo to the new. Furthermore, this role allowed me to work on poster and mockup creation.
