Human Resources And Payroll Manager
CurrentHuman Resources Management:- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with Federal and Provincial laws and regulations.- Manage the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, interviews, and orientation.- Manage employee benefit programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.- Implement performance management processes and provide guidance on employee development plans.- Mediate and resolve workplace disputes and conflicts.- Investigate and address complaints of harassment, discrimination, or misconduct.- Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement.- Provide HR and payroll expertise to senior management and department heads.- Offer guidance on strategic HR initiatives and workforce planning.- Identify areas for process improvement within HR and payroll functions.- Implement best practices and efficiencies to enhance department operations.- Utilize HRIS software for data management and reporting.Payroll Management:- Manage the payroll processing system, ensuring timely and accurate payment of all employees.- Calculate and process salary adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation-related payments.- Deduct and remit statutory deductions, such as income tax, Canada Pension Plan (CPP), and Employment Insurance (EI).- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local payroll regulations.- Perform year-end procedures including government & non-government filings and reconciliations (i.e. T4, T4a, CPP, EI, EHT, WSIB, T2200, T2200s.- Resolve complex payroll issues and inquiries from employees and management.- Provide leadership and guidance to the payroll team.- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, to ensure alignment and accuracy of payroll information.- Stay up-to-date with Canadian payroll regulations and tax laws.
