Funnel is a SaaS company and a ”Marketing Data Hub”, supporting marketers and other decision makers to get reports and analysis to support their decisions. As Deputy CTO, I was leading around 20 developers in 5 product teams. My focus was to support and add value to developers and teams, my colleagues, the product and our customers. The teams are primarily involved in the Data-in part of the product, responsible for integrating around 250 platforms to acquire the data needed by customers. Mari was also responsible for a couple of platform teams tasked with building tools and capabilities for other internal teams.As part of the leadership team (CTO, Head of Product and Head of Design), I was involved in growing the organization, driving and adapting to change and at the same time delivering value. We collaborated on common topics such as team setup, common ways of working, engineering culture, technical strategy, and creating a flexible product organization that continuously adapts and delivers on the product strategy. Mari also worked closely with other roles in the organization, such as Customer Success, Sales, and Support, to achieve common goals and maximize impact from our deliveries.Clear goals, autonomy, ownership and transparency were important principles for all teams. To succeed, they had to collaborate closely with other teams. Therefore, I aimed for the teams to have the skills and capacity they needed and minimize handoffs, so that they could focus on delivering value to customers.

As a consulting manager, I was a part of the management team and led a group of about 20 consultants in roles such as System Developers, Project Managers, and Agile Coaches. Together with the management team, I was responsible for developing strategic goals and advancing the business. The company underwent a significant transformation as it was acquired and gradually integrated into a larger corporation, and I had a key role in this process. I collaborated extensively with colleagues in other companies within the group and initiated, planned, and implemented numerous changes both locally and within the corporation. As examples, I developed and improved processes for recruitment and individual development, and I also launched a trainee program for system developers.My focus was on increasing engagement and to enable everyone’s contribution to developing the business and achieve higher customer satisfaction. I supported the Swedish Medical Products Agency in their agile transformation and helped initiate their first cross-functional agile team. As we established more agile teams, I continued to work in the teams, with cross-team issues, and to develop the entire organization. I assisted in scaling up the organization as it grew, adapting ways of working, and taking the next steps based on needs and conditions.In my role, I worked closely with IT management and collaborated with various roles across the organization to lead change on a larger scale and support the agency's agile transition.I held training sessions on agile principles and methods, scaling an agile organization, and team development. I also facilitated several workshops, creative meetings, and planning activities to capture diverse perspectives and work towards common goals.Additionally, I was project manager for several digitization projects aimed at developing the agency's services. I was responsible for managing budgets, leading team efforts, and reporting to responsible managers and sponsors. My focus as a project manager was to create value for users by applying agile principles, integrating project work into the teams' agile methods, and involving existing agile roles.
