• Provide executive support to Chief of Department and Associate Surgeon• Manage surgical, clinical and academic calendars for Chief and Associate• Prepare correspondence for pre-certification, prior authorizations, referral management for surgical procedures • Coordinate on boarding process for medical students rotations• Triage all calls for surgical department• Coordinate all aspects of scheduling but not limited to new patient, pre/post-operative care and schedule all surgical procedures• Assist with clinical coverage to ensure proper flow and provide assistance to practice• Provide executive support to Chief of Department and Associate Surgeon• Manage surgical, clinical and academic calendars for Chief and Associate• Prepare correspondence for pre-certification, prior authorizations, referral management for surgical procedures • Maintain and manage conference room reservations• Extensive contact with administrative departments and other facilities requiring the handling of confidential information• Manage and submit reimbursement, checks, PO requests and manage office supply inventory

• Responsible for completing and submitting insurance forms received in the practice, to the Insurance Company for approval• Schedule all surgical procedures for 11 surgeons• Scheduled operating room time for all physicians. Schedules all pre-operative visits, post-operative appointments and pre-admitting Test Center appointments related to surgical procedures • Responsible for completing and, upon physician approval, sending patient specific treatment plans for patients based upon their insurance plan and scheduled treatment. Requires detailed knowledge of insurance requirements and close attention to patient scheduled appointments since each insurance company has different treatment plan requirements • Received and expedites all incoming/outgoing telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner• Obtains referrals and pre-certifications, as appropriate• Performed cross-coverage duties, as necessary, for other Coordinators
