Prepares and reviews a variety of commercial and legal documents including, but not limited to, demand letters, change requests, statements of work, professional services agreements, partner agreements, vendor agreements and license and services agreements for internal approval and review by the client within the Asia Pacific region; Directly negotiates with relevant business people and external clients within the legal mandates of the company; Updates and revises contracts based on these discussions, and escalate key legal issues as needed; Renders legal opinion and provide contract interpretation to internal clients; Works with relationship managers on understanding the specifics of their client contracts and on executing a seamless contract renewal / negotiation process; Assists account/relationship managers in contract interpretation of business terms, and assists finance and accounting with contract issues related to invoicing errors and disputes; Reviews contract templates and ensures they are up to date and localised according to the client jurisdiction; Develops, administers and oversees the contract administration process, including ensuring that execution versions of contracts are the correct and accurate drafts and are executed properly and in a timely manner; Devises ways and new processes to improve the contracting and contract management process; Researches and advises on “best practices” for contract management, including in the technology / licensing space; Effectively interacts with legal department professionals regarding legal terms of contracts and, when necessary, business terms and negotiating strategy.
