I worked in a freelance capacity designing prints and patterns that I sold or licensed to independent companies. My work has been applied to a variety of products in the textile, stationery and home decor markets.

I taught general English across various levels to mixed nationality groups. Planning and delivering effective and engaging lessons was my top priority as I wanted to see my students advance whilst enjoying the learning process. I regularly assessed student progress, wrote reports and graded exams.

Now defunct, Print Block was a collective of independent textile designers who worked together to grow the industry in Ireland. During my time here, I developed my personal design practice, taught workshops and collaborated with external bodies to produce printed textiles.

I developed dynamic lesson plans to meet course aims and objectives whilst teaching in line with the school’s communicative methodology. Writing new materials and adapted existing materials was necessary to meet student needs. I also prepared students for the TOEFL and IELTS examinations.

I taught young learners across various levels from pre-K to young adult. I incorporated language learning games into lessons in order to bolster motivation. Presentation lessons for parents were delivered regularly. I created additional materials to supplement coursebooks in order to strengthen learning.
